We are deeply and profoundly grateful to announce the largest grant in Katherine’s Light Foundation’s history: a $50,000 gift from founders Robin and Larry Sells to support the Stoyanova Lab’s research fund.
This extraordinary generosity will directly advance our study of neuroendocrine tumors (NETs), with a focus on UCHL1 as a biomarker and therapeutic target for neuroendocrine pancreatic tumors, work that carries forward Katherine’s own fight and her hope for a cure.
Knowing how much Katherine cared about advancing this research makes the Foundation’s support feel even more meaningful. This gift represents not just funding, but Katherine’s legacy, and the generosity and hope of an entire community working toward a cancer-free future.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Robin and Larry and to everyone who helped make this gift possible. Our team feels privileged to carry Katherine’s legacy forward through our research
With deep and lasting gratitude
The Stoyanova Lab
